What is the Egyptian Board Certificate?

The Egyptian Board Certificate is a clinical professional certificate in medical specialties according to a training program that ensures the best practical training for Egyptian Board doctors.

Admission Procedures

  1. Applications for admission to the Egyptian Board Programs shall be submitted to the Admission and Registration Department for the selection of applicants according to the pre-defined criteria of the Central Scientific Committee of the Board within the timetable announced on the Admission Portal.
  2. The Department of Admission and Registration shall determine the number required to enroll in the program in accordance with the total capacity of the region based on what is received from specialized scientific committees and in coordination with the Central Scientific Committee for Accreditation.
  3. All admission procedures must be completed at least two months before the start of the training program.
  4. The acceptance notice shall be related only for the same year and shall not be deferred to subsequent years.
  5. The applicant is required to submit his application through CEMTA electronic portal in accordance with its procedures.
  6. The applicant may lodge a plaint against the result of acceptance or distribution in the board hospitals by submitting an appeal within the period specified for accepting the plaints.

Required Documents (Egyptians)

Those wishing to enroll in one of Egyptian Board specialties from Egyptians are required to fulfill the following conditions and documents:-

  1. Fill-in application form.
  2. Eagle stamp ratified copy of M.B.B.Ch [Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of surgery] with student and degree cumulative score, or student and total score, or student and degree GPA, Overall grading and percentage.
  3. Eagle stamp ratified copy of the transcript of academic grades with grades of subject specialty.
  4. Eagle stamp ratified copy of recognition from Egyptian Supreme Council of universities.
  5. Eagle stamp ratified completion of compulsory training [House official training].
  6. Ratified copy of additional postgraduate certificates [Master of science in medicine – PhD – Diploma – Fellowship – Other].
  7. Ratified copy of computerized Birth certificate or its official extract.
  8. Recent 6 Photographs 4*6 with white background (Passport).
  9. Eagle stamp ratified copy of Military recruitment state.
  10. Eagle stamp ratified approval by work place affiliation for full time study period in the Egyptian Board (For doctors who work in the Ministry of Health approval of the Directorate of Health Affairs, specifying the specialty and approval of the Department of grants and missions in the ministry).
  11. Eagle stamp ratified transcript of current job position.
  12. Ratified copy of Egyptian Medical syndicate (EMS) identification number.
  13. Ratified copy of valid Medical practice license.
  14. Copy of valid National Identification Card.
  15. Copy of English language proficiency valid certificate [TOEFL with score not less than 500 points or IELTS with overall score not less than 6 points](Must be submitted within 2 years from registration).
  16. Receipt of payment for applying to Egyptian Board degree [50 Egyptian pound(EGP) ]
  17. Receipt of payment for certificate (s) verification [100 Egyptian pound (EGP) per certificate]

Required Documents (Non-Egyptians)

Those wishing to enroll in one of Egyptian Board specialties from Non-Egyptians are required to fulfill the following conditions and documents:-

  1. Fill-in application form.
  2. Eagle stamp ratified copy of M.B.B.Ch [Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of surgery] with student and degree cumulative score, or student and total score, or student and degree GPA, Overall grading and percentage.
  3. Eagle stamp ratified copy of the transcript of academic grades with grades of subject specialty.
  4. Eagle stamp ratified copy of recognition from Egyptian Supreme Council of universities .
  5. Eagle stamp ratified completion of compulsory training [House official training].
  6. Ratified copy of additional postgraduate certificates [Master of science in medicine – PhD – Diploma – Fellowship – Other].
  7. Ratified copy of computerized Birth certificate or its official extract.
  8. Recent 6 Photographs 4×6 with white background (Passport).
  9. National Embassy Approval to apply for Egyptian Board specifying the Method of payment of tuition fees - Specialty.
  10. Ratified copy of valid passport from your Embassy (front page).
  11. Copy of National Identification card or Insurance Number.
  12. Copy of English language proficiency valid certificate [TOEFL with score not less than 500 points or IELTS with overall score not less than 6 points (Must be submitted within 2 years from registration).
  13. Copy of Arabic language proficiency valid certificate for non-Arabic speakers.
  14. Receipt of payment for applying to Egyptian Board degree [100 Sterling Pound (GBP)].
  15. Receipt of payment for certificate (s) verification [100 Egyptian pound (EGP) per certificate]

Admission Periods

Admission is open twice a year (June and July - January and February)

Maximum Training Period

The maximum number of years of training in the Egyptian Board program is ten years from the admission date, without counting the allowed period of suspension.
